Airborne Viruses and Bacteria can be effectively removed down to the sub-micron level using Ultra Violet Technology, Ionization, Ozone Generators, Gemicidal Filters or Photocatalytic Oxidization (with TiO2). Ionization has been popular in lower-grade purifiers that claim to effectively clean the air without filters.  These ionizers, however, do not measure up to the performance of a true HEPA filter and can produce unhealthy amounts of ozone that may cause lung irritation in people with sensitive resperatory systems.  The Airpura P600 includes 5 technologies to treat 3 stages of air purification: 1) Clean dust particles, 2) Deodorize the air, and 3) Sanitize the air from microorganisms.
